Deborah Mulvany is one of a small group of preferred CONTROL practitioners, selected, trained, and qualified to be a CONTROL presenter, allowing her to teach the CONTROL system to groups via 1-day workshops. Deborah guides each attendee through the process of creating radical changes in their patterns of thought to create life-altering improvements.
Our workshops have helped thousands of clients worldwide to make immediate fundamental changes and learn how to use the CONTROL system for themselves. Each workshop is part education and part hands-on practical change work, and each participant will be guided through the 7-step process in detail, creating tangible changes in their thought patterns.
You will learn how to negotiate changes to subconscious thought patterns, thus removing blockages and limiting beliefs holding you back. You will also come away with a deeper understanding of how your subconscious works and have a direct method of communicating with the most powerful and creative part of your mind.
CONTROL events are always guaranteed to be fun, informative and consistently over-deliver on value. Each class is limited in numbers so that the presenter and their team ensure you get their personal attention, so please book early!
All workshops are held online via Zoom! Running for a full day, 9.30 am until 4.30 pm, usually the last Sunday of the month. Enjoy full participation in the comfort of your own home.

In this workshop you will learn:
• What RAS is and how you can use it in every day life
• To focus on positive thoughts
• To acknowledge opportunities and reach your goals
• To enhance your decision-making skills
• To unlock your full potential
The Reticular Activating System (RAS) is a powerful tool that can dramatically transform both personal and professional lives. This network of neurons in the brain acts as a filter, determining what information is brought to our conscious attention. By harnessing the power of the RAS, individuals can shift their focus toward positive thoughts, opportunities, and goals, effectively reshaping their reality. When we consciously train our RAS to highlight success and abundance, we open the door to new possibilities, enhance our decision-making skills, and foster a growth mindset. This shift not only empowers personal development but also drives business success, enabling leaders to cultivate a vision that inspires their teams and propels their organisations forward. Understanding and leveraging the RAS can be the key to unlocking our fullest potential and achieving remarkable results.

Her insights helped me understand the power of self-talk and the importance of being my own best friend. This shift in perspective has dramatically improved not only how I communicate with myself but also my overall outlook on life. I now approach challenges with confidence and positivity, thanks to Deborah’s inspiring guidance. In this workshop you will learn:
• How to reduce negative self-talk
• How to be more resilient when facing adversity
• How to reduce anxiety and depression
• How to achieve the goals you set consistently
• How self-acceptance leads to self-love and healthier relationships
Being your own best friend offers several benefits that contribute to overall well-being and personal growth:
1. Increased Self-Acceptance: Embracing yourself fosters a positive self-image, leading to greater self-acceptance and reduced negative self-talk. This aligns with findings from psychology that emphasise the importance of self-compassion (Neff, 2011).
2. Emotional Resilience: Cultivating a supportive inner dialogue helps individuals navigate challenges more effectively. Research indicates that people who are kind to themselves tend to exhibit higher resilience in the face of adversity (Seligman, 2011).
3. Improved Mental Health: Being your own best friend can lower anxiety and depression levels. Studies have shown that self-nurturing behaviors, similar to those found in friendships, can enhance mental health outcomes (Germer & Neff, 2013).
4. Enhanced Motivation: When you treat yourself with kindness and encouragement, it can boost intrinsic motivation. This leads to more consistent goal pursuit and personal development (Ryan & Deci, 2000).
5. Better Relationships with Others: A healthy relationship with oneself often translates into healthier relationships with others, as self-acceptance and self-love can reduce dependency and improve interpersonal dynamics (Holt-Lunstad et al, 2010).
In summary, being your own best friend cultivates self-acceptance, resilience, mental health, motivation, and better relationships, all of which contribute to a more fulfilling life.
“Deborah Mulvany at Re-Shaping Minds has been a true catalyst for my weight loss journey. I approached her feeling defeated, convinced that my mind was sabotaging my every effort. Through her expertise as a remedial hypnotist, Deborah helped me uncover the origins of those self-sabotaging thoughts and guided me toward a healthier dialogue with myself. She empowered me to become my own best friend, transforming my mindset in a way I never thought possible. After working with her, I found that I instinctively knew how to make the right choices for my health, and everything just fell into place. In just two months, I’ve lost three stone! Deborah’s support and guidance have been invaluable, and I can’t recommend her highly enough for anyone looking to achieve their weight loss goals.”

In this workshop you will learn:
• How a high-five enhances self-esteem
• How a high-five promotes positivity and improves your outlook
• How a high-five leads to motivation and drives success
• How a high-five can leave you more emotionally resilient
• How a high-five displays self-compassion and improves mental health
Doing a high five to yourself in the mirror every morning can offer several psychological and emotional benefits:
1. Boosts Self-Esteem: Engaging in positive affirmations, like a high five to yourself, can enhance self-esteem. Research shows that self-affirmation practices help individuals recognise their worth and abilities (Cohen & Sherman, 2014).
2. Promotes Positivity: Starting the day with a positive gesture can set a tone for optimism. Studies indicate that practicing gratitude and engaging in positive self-talk can significantly improve mood and overall outlook (Emmons & McCullough, 2003).
3. Enhances Motivation: A morning ritual that includes a high five can serve as a motivational boost. It reinforces a positive mindset, encouraging individuals to tackle challenges throughout the day (Ryan & Deci, 2000).
4. Builds Resilience: Positive self-gestures can help build emotional resilience. A study found that self-affirmation can reduce stress and enhance coping skills in difficult situations (Sherman & Hartson, 2011).
5. Strengthens Self-Compassion: This simple act can foster a sense of self-compassion, allowing individuals to treat themselves with the same kindness they would offer a friend, which is linked to improved mental health (Neff, 2003).
In summary, performing a high five to yourself in the mirror every morning can enhance self-esteem, promote positivity, boost motivation, build resilience, and strengthen self-compassion, contributing to an overall improved sense of well-being.
“Deborah Mulvany has introduced me to a thing called the high-five habit, something that I have now adopted Strangely daily. Before I look at my phone in the morning or do anything else, I go into the bathroom and give myself a high-five. It is really bizarre! The Use of your reticular activating system (RAS) to create a positive feeling first thing in the morning absolutely changes your attitude throughout the rest of the day. The consequence of doing this high-five habit for me and my business has been, that since I started doing it, we have taken on board five new clients in the last month. Prior to that, the 3 months before, we had not taken on a single client, so the changes it can make you are absolutely powerful. I would thoroughly recommend anybody have a conversation with Deborah to come along to her workshop because it is life-changing.”
